Hi everyone! Every Monday I’ll be checking in with you to go over the top 10 toys each week. They change each week and the bestseller list is based on who’s actually buying what – but as always, I’m sure I’ll have something to say about them below LOL:
#1 I’m not even going to put on here – because it’s NOT a toy for kids! It’s a naughty toy game for adults, and I’m not sure why they list it in the bestselling toys area – should be in adult stuff. So let’s bump it off the map.
#1 – Syma S107/S107G R/C Helicopter – Blue, Yellow and Red
I’m not going to take up three spaces just to show you the various colors of this exact same toy. But this RC helicopter is what’s top in actual toys. We’ve owned one. My daughter got a flying fairy and my son got one of these. It was all fun and games until the cat got ahold of it.
This RC helicopter has amazing performance – and over 1,000 consumer reviews saying it’s glorious. And it is. It’s easy to maneuver and it flies really well. We just have 3 really easily annoyed cats who are hunters in our house, so they mangled it. It is very lightweight, which means its performance is awesome.
I’m going to skip the cables that made it to the top bestseller list because those aren’t toys, either.
#2 – Hedbanz
We own this too – really fun game. Even though it’s for kids, it’s fun for everyone. Gets really silly. You put the band on your head with a picture facing outward to everyone else.
In Hedbanz, you ask questions as you try to guess what you are. The funny part is when you ask something like, “Is it something you eat?” and one person would NEVER eat it (like snake) while another would. So the person guessing gets confused. Kids have lots of giggles – and my daughter always tries to sneak off to a mirror to cheat, so we have to be vigilant.
#3 – SpotIt
This is a game we don’t own YET but we will. Oh yes, it shall be ours. LOL! A kid in my daughter’s class got it at the party. It’s a round card game and a matching game all in one. Looks fun, and it’s cheap! SpotIt is one for the family, but perfect for little ones.
#4 – Qwirkle Board Game
I like this game – I’ve played it but I don’t own it. I love colorful games. It says this is the Mindware company’s bestseller of all times. It has over 500 reviews and it’s gained an almost perfect star rating.
It’s a strategy game where you match up symbols or colors. Check out the Qwirkle game play instructions and see if it’s right for your family.
#5 – Perplexus Maze Game
The Perplexus Maze Game isn’t as much a game as it is a maze. You want to get this for ages 6-14. It has a great star rating and over 400 consumer reviews. There’s a ball inside the maze and you have to flip, twist and spin your way through the puzzle. You can can time it so you’re racing against yourself or play against other people.
#6 -Manhattan Toy Winkel
Okay I’m going to go ahead and include this one – because it’s a toy, but it’s also a teether – for a baby. I don’t really see much else going on with this toy other than munching on it, but I suppose it could be playful. Here’s a picture of the Manhattan Toy Winkel:
#7 – Monster High Travel Scaris Skelita Calveras Doll
My daughter is BIG into Monster High dolls and the Scaris travel girls are the newest hot items in this line. The Monster High girls are going to the city of Scaris and Skelita is really cool – under her cute little Mexican dress is a body where you can see her skeleton. Creepy, but cool! And her makeup is awesome, too. She comes with a neat little travel rolling suitcase, too!
#8 – 2012 Hess Truck Helicopter and Rescue Vehicles
This is awesome! I had never seen these until today. Most toys come in either cars OR helicopters – but this one has both. And the 2012 Hess Truck Helicopter and Rescue Vehicles toys are motorized with real sounds of take off and flying and lights that work. Love it! Customers rate it at an almost perfect 5 stars – at 4.8 total.
#9 -Rory’s Story Cubes
I love Rory’s Story Cubes. I’ve reviewed them before. It’s a single or multi player game and it can be for kids or even adults to play. You roll the die and create stories from the images that come up.
#10 -Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker
The Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker is a great toy that you buy for infants who are sitting already and need to learn how to stand and then walk. It morphs through the phases so the toy grows with them as their skills improve.
We bought our nephew one and he loves it!
You can look at an hourly Bestselling Toys list and see what’s rising and falling at any minute. And once you go there, look to your left and see what the bestsellers are in EACH category – like action figures or dolls and so on. I’ll be back next Monday to see what’s there and what’s missing!
Tiff 😉
