Hi everyone! Today we’re going to cover the top 10 bestselling Angry Birds toys. I have a confession to make. The first time I heard Angry Birds, I was driving back from a summer vacation and someone in the car was playing the game. I just about threw their phone out the window listening to the squawking!
But once I downloaded and played the game – well that was all she wrote. Me and the kids have been enjoying it ever since! Ever since the app took off, kids have been craving more physical toys they can play with so I compiled a list of the top 10 Angry Birds toys that are currently selling like hotcakes for you to consider – and notice that the Angry Birds Star Wars line is HOT right now!
Here they are, in order of ranking at the time of this writing – with #1 being most popular, and #10 being the bottom of the top 10 list, but still part of the top 10!
#1 – Angry Birds: Knock On Wood Game
I actually bought this for my kids. My kids had a lot of fun with it – my middle son played it with my youngest and they both laughed about it. For under 10 bucks? You can’t go wrong. It is THE bestselling Angry birds toy on the market – even if Star Wars is invading that share of the sales rapidly.
This game is kind of a way to take the online app into the real world. It comes with the angry birds, the pigs, a slingshot launcher, and structure pieces. I will admit that my kids had more fun just playing with it and ignoring the mission cards it comes with. They just took turns using the Angry Birds Knock on Wood Game to set up neat looking creations and try to knock them down. Whatever entertains!
#2 – Angry Birds Star Wars 5″ Bird – Chewbacca
These are so stinking cute! I’m not even a big Star Wars fan but they turned these into a precious toy. Or cool, if you’re talking about boys, of course! They have all the main characters, and you’re going to see them listed below because they’re hot sellers right now!
The Angry Birds Star Wars Chewbacca plush toy is under $7 – love it! It’s been rated a perfect five stars by all buyers except one person who wanted sound included. Personally, I prefer to hear my kids’ voices as they imitate the characters than I do some pre-inserted message.
#3 – Angry Birds Star Wars 5″ Bird – Darth Vader
Wow this one is under $5! Just keeps getting better. I love Chewbacca best, but we all have to have a villain we love to hate and this little plush toy is sure ominous looking.
Angry Birds Star Wars Darth Vader plush toy is great for many ages. There’s sure to be an argument over who gets to be Darth Vader if your kids are role playing. I like the red eyes. The mouth kind of has that Silence of the Lambs feel to it, doesn’t it? LOL! But that’s okay – kids won’t have watched that movie, I hope (at least mine haven’t).
#4 – Angry Birds Star Wars 5″ Bird – Leia
Well I know I used to pretend I was Princess Leia when I was a little girl! Although I never liked the little doo doo ball hairdo she has going on there. I just like her sassy attitude. This toy is the petite one of the bunch, so it’s a tad bit smaller, as it should be! And it’s under $5. Nice!
This Angry Birds Star Wars Princess Leia plush toy is perfect for little girls – and yes, boys can play with them, too! They’ll need her if they’re going to have a full cast and crew, so if you’re a Mom or Dad (or other) buying for a boy, and you plan on getting several – don’t neglect to get them Leia so the story can be complete.
#5 – Angry Birds Star Wars 5″ Bird – Luke
Okay I know it’s blasphemous to knock Star Wars, but I had to giggle about the hair they used on this. I never liked Luke’s hair and they did a great job making it look similar. This one is just under $8 – well, probably because he’s the main character, after all!
The Angry Birds Star Wars Luke plush toy is small like the others – these are not big huge plush stuffed animals, they’re a little over softball size. That’s why they’re priced so inexpensively. But kids don’t care – they LOVE them! Makes them easy for smaller hands to control, too.
#6 – Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods AT AT Attack
They took the original Angry Birds Knock on Wood game and morphed it into a Star Wars version. So fun! This is the same type of concept. Your kids build a construction with the blocks, position the bad guys (the Star Wars villains) on the construction, and use the heroes as the Angry Birds who try to topple them.
Right now, the Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods AT AT Attack set is just under $32 at the time of this writing. It’s rated 3 stars, too. I checked it out and it was split – 2 people hated it, 2 thought it was okay, and 2 loved it. So this is one of those where you have to carefully look at it yourself. Side note – if you click through on that link, tell me – is it just me – or do the two kids they’re using as models in the pictures look like they’re straight out of Star Trek?
#7 – Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods Jenga Death Star
I have to admit, this one looks coolest of all out of the various games. It’s rated well and is under $30 at the time of this writing, too, so that’s good! This is a Jenga game – you stack them up to look like the Death Star, position the bad characters in it in various places, and use the good guy Angry Birds to knock them down.
The Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods Jenga Death Star includes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper Pigs. Reviews are good and they basically say that this isn’t an adult game – but the kids are going to have a blast with it.
#8 – Angry Birds Star Wars 5″ Bird – Han Solo
I love this one. He has the poufy brown hair just like in the real movie. This plush one rates very high with consumers. It’s a 4.7 out of 5 stars total. It’s bright yellow and has the belt with weapon attached.
The Han Solo Angry Birds Star Wars plush toy is just under $8 and is very soft. I love the big, huge eyebrows they come with that make them look so strong and intimidating.
#9 – Angry Birds Star Wars 5″ Bird – Storm Trooper
You can’t set the scene for a Star Wars battle without some Stormtroopers mulling about. This little character is one of the pigs that the Angry Bird characters will be battling against.
The Angry Birds Star Wars Stormtrooper plush toy is just under $8. It has a perfect five star rating. Some kids LOVE the stormtroopers more than they do the main characters. Something about being a trooper period that kids love – so this makes a great toy if that describes your kid.
#10 – Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods Early Bird Pack
At first, I was looking at this and wondering why anyone would buy this one over the bigger toys above where you launch the birds toward the pigs on the construction, since this one only includes TWO blocks – I mean, what can you do with two blocks? LOL!
But then I started reading reviews and I get it now. It’s like a throwback – old school version – and it includes R2D2. ‘Nuff said! I like that the launcher is a light saber. Looks cool. Luckily, the Angry Birds Star Wars Fighter Pods Early Bird Pack is under $10.
So that’s it for now! I love the toys. It’s fun for kids to be able to play an app on the go and then come home, get out the physical toys and use their imagination to create a story all their own.
